An older gent with a beard dispensed holiday cheer during the Reston Holiday Parade in the fake downtown on Friday. Oh, and some covenant-administering elf by the name of Santa Claus followed Bob Simon in the lineup, throwing DRB violation letters to the naughty folk using white landscaping stone in the crowd. This is the first time I've gone to the holiday parade at RTC, and I do wish they would condense it. Something comes down the street about once every 10 minutes, and the rest of the time people are just waiting around shivering. It's kind of hard to get into the spirit of the parade when people are constantly asking, "wait, so is it over now?"
ReplyDeleteDid you ever wonder whether Santa gets a visa every year? If not, then he's probably here illegally.
ReplyDeleteI hope Santa didn't make it to Macaroniville via Herndon. If he'd been caught there without a visa, he could have been deported back to the North Pole.
Santa is one of the very few illegals that I might actually miss.
We're watching for you, Santa. If you're here illegally, we're going to take your picture and turn you over to USCIS.
ReplyDeleteYou better watch out,
ReplyDeleteYou better not cry,
You better not pout,
I'm telling you why,
Santa Claus will get you any toy you want now that your dad knows he's illegal. Even though you've been very bad this year, but that's largely your dad's fault, too, like how Jake your pet hamster was "accidentally" eaten by that snake, and why Mommy left.
He's making a list,
So pick something. Anything.
Breaking? Spare us! This is not MyFoxDC. Or is it? So many Libertarians here all the sudden spook me
ReplyDeleteAnon 5:26 you are so right. Fake is Fake in Pantone-perfect Reshome.
ReplyDeleteEnough already!
Now about those Salahis??? They are from Reston, no?
Hey folks it is a Christmas Parade! not a Holiday parade, c'mon.
ReplyDelete11:47... um... pretty sure it was a thanksgiving/christmas parade. Making it a holiday parade. Were you even there?
ReplyDeletefunny, I dint see any turkeys...Just Santa.
ReplyDelete...um he/she has a point.
ReplyDeleteBut they did have big balloons, like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.
ReplyDeleteum... pretty sure it was a CHRISTMAS parade.
ReplyDeleteUmm. The town center calls it the "Holidays are Here!" holiday parade. The events calendar on RestonTownCenter.com lists it as such.
ReplyDeleteRestonTownCenter.com says it's the "Holidays are Here!" holiday parade.
ReplyDelete"Goes beyond our WILDEST dreams." Yea, nobody likes that person. Even his own son wants him dead.
