Hot Enough for You? If You're an Inanimate Hunk of Metal, the Answer Is Yes

Courtesy of the Twitter machine, this shocking photo shows just how hot it is: hot enough to set metal ablaze. This transformer fire at the corner of Reston Parkway and Sunrise Valley Drive kept things interesting for a while this afternoon. All in all, maybe it's time to give the more temperate climes of the Reston of the North a try, the end.

    Yup. Took out the power at USGS headquarters. I think this transformer is in a 'better place' now...

    It's just a robot in disguise. Personally I'm rather disappointed that Shia LaBeouf didn't make an appearance to assess the situation and subsequently freak out.
