Hey, this sounds like a fun way to pass our socially distanced time!
Too bad there's already a winner:
In a completely unrelated development, Confidential Restonian Operative "Joel" shared this exciting photo of what appears to be photos from the Mars Rover with some houses photoshopped in the background move-in day for the first residents of what he calls the Tall Oaks Convenience Center. Welcome to Reston! Good luck, and watch that bumpy ride into Tyvektown the new neighborhood!
This kind of architecture is everywhere in Reston's new construction. Wherever such development is proposed in RA-land, the DRB ought to DENY it outright and elsewhere the Reston Planning & Zoning Committee should reject forward it to the PC. It is absolutely atrocious!
ReplyDeleteI dunno, I'm one of those residents that moved into that first building and I've been a Reston resident for almost 20 years. We were thrilled to find something that fit our needs and budgets and not have to leave the neighborhood we loved. Even if so many people around here hate the development, it's perfect for us and I think the exteriors are gorgeous. It's all a matter of taste, and so far the neighbors here I think will fit in wonderful to the actual spirit and heart of Reston.
